Project Architeuthis

The United States Navy sought the most ideal candidates for Cryptology. This pool is small, hard to find, and even harder to recruit, representing an immeasurably small number of people. Why not bring those people to the Navy? Augmented reality gaming players have everything Navy Cryptology is looking for: high intelligence, self-motivation, logic, creativity, curiosity and tenacity. So let’s draw them in!

The experience won over 11 awards including a Cannes Lion. Previous awards include: the Grand Prix Warc Prize for Social Strategy; two Gold Effie Awards for Media Idea and Government, Institutional and Recruitment; two Shorty Awards for Best Multi-Platform Campaign and Best Use of Gamification; the New York Festivals Award for Creative Effectiveness; the Target Award for Business and Consumer Services; the D Show Award for Best of Innovative Marketing; an AICP NEXT Award (shortlist); and a Webby Award for Best Use of Social Media.

The U.S. Navy Redesign

During my time on the account I was entrusted to develop and care for this esteemed brand.

  • Concept and execute digital recruiting materials—for all specialized departments—based on goals established by the Navy Recruiting Command.

  • Create impactful digital and traditional marketing to raise STEM consideration.

  • Lead design in the mission to develop a new navy.com.
